Patricia Peterson Sanctioned for Unauthorized Discretionary Trades in WFG Accounts

Attorney Advising Disclaimer

Former WFG Investments, Inc. broker and present Innovation Partners LLC representative Patricia Gail Evershed Peterson of Nevada consented to a fine and suspension based on FINRA's findings that Peterson effected discretionary trades in several non-discretionary accounts while she was associated with WFG.

AWC #2015047070601

The report states that while associated with Williams Financial Group aka WFG Investments in Henderson, NV, Peterson (CRD #1962901) used discretion to place 21 trades in nine WFG customers' accounts without written authorization and without WFG having accepted the accounts as discretionary.

After WFG terminated Peterson's employment on September 16, 2015 for Peterson's failure to follow firm policies and for exercising unauthorized discretion in retail customer accounts, Innovation Partners LLC (also of Henderson) hired her less than a month later, with a registration date of October 13, 2015.

Peterson's BrokerCheck report indicates that Peterson is the owner of and receives commissions from an additional firm called Desert Crest Financial, which sells insurance, including fixed life. The employment list also includes an entity known as "Patti Peterson LLC."
