Punished by California Bureau of Real Estate, Guillermo Valladolid Barred for Undisclosed Outside Business Activity

Attorney Advising Disclaimer

FINRA barred former Morgan Stanley broker Guillermo William Valladolid after he refused to provide requested information to investigators as they were investigating allegations that he improperly sold investments away from the firm and engaged in an undisclosed outside business.

AWC #2017054997501

Both Morgan Stanley and prior firm Merrill Lynch of Ja Jolla, California listed "employment separation after allegations" events in Valladolid (CRD #4553357)'s BrokerCheck report for alleged misconduct related to disclosure failures. While Morgan Stanley discharged Valladolid for the undisclosed outside business activity, Merrill Lynch's separation indicated conduct "involving failure to escalate a customer complaint to management."

While Valladolid's file lists no outside business activities, a Better Business Bureau listing indicates that Valladolid managed a loan modification business entitled, "The Valladolid Corporation" since 2006, which would encompass Valladolid's time at both Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. Valladolid's BrokerCheck report stated that he left an employer entitled "TVC" in 2011.

According to BBB, The Valladolid Corporation of San Diego, CA also has done business as TVC Financial Services, Valladolid Realty & Mortgage, Williams Mortgage Relief Center, Financial Liberty Network, and Transparent Financial Group.

This disclosure is significant because in 2010, multiple individuals filed claims against defendant Guillermo Valladolid and The Valladolid Corporation in San Diego County Superior Court, while the California Bureau of Real Estate fined and suspended The Valladolid Corporation and Guillermo Valladolid in 2013 for violating real estate law or regulations; the State additionally cited Valladolid for failing to supervise salespersons or licensed acts of corporation.

If you have invested with ex-Morgan Stanley broker Guillermo William Valladolid of Southern California or with any broker or financial adviser who has failed to disclose an outside business activity which may have posed a conflict of interest and, in turn, prompted unsuitable investment advice or recommendations that have proven harmful to your financial interests, please call The Law Offices of Jonathan W.
